Company Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or margarine
    2 lb. bag hash brown potatoes
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    8 oz. sour cream
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper (red or green)
Preparation
    Using a 9 x 12-inch casserole dish, melt butter in the dish. Pour in the frozen hash brown potatoes and put aside.
    In a bowl, mix the Cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, onion and bell pepper together.
    Pour the cheese mixture over top of the hash browns.
    Sprinkle the bread crumbs over the top and cover. Bake at 350\u00b0 for one hour and 10 minutes.
    Take out of oven; let stand for about 5 minutes before serving.
