Peppermint Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk
    3 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. half and half
    1/2 c. crushed hard peppermint candy
    additional crushed hard peppermint candy (optional)
Preparation
    Place milk in top of a large double boiler.
    Bring water to a boil. Cook until milk is thoroughly heated. Remove from heat. Set aside.
