German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 10 lb. red skin potatoes
    2 c. vinegar
    1 c. + 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    1 large red onion, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    fresh parsley, chopped
    crisp fried bacon, crumbled or bacon bits (optional)
Preparation
    Boil potatoes in skins.
    Slice and peel while hot.
    Mix rest of ingredients and pour over potatoes while hot.
    Let stand 8 hours.
    Does not need refrigeration if eaten on day that it is made.
