Butterscotch Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/3 c. light Karo
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup, butter and salt for 5 minutes.
    Stir smooth.
    Remove from heat.
    Add milk and vanilla.
    Return to heat; bring to a boil, then remove.
