Never Fail Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    1 stick margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bring to boil all ingredients, except 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla.
    Brown
    1/2
    cup
    sugar while other ingredients boil. Add the
    browned
    sugar and cook until soft ball forms in cold water. Add vanilla and beat to desired consistency.
