Bamboo Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. vinegar
    3 c. water
    1/4 c. salt
Preparation
    Boil together.
    Put into jars one clove garlic, hot pepper, a small amount of alum, dill weed or 1/2 tsp dill seed.
    Cook bamboo for 25 minutes.
    After it begins to boil cool in ice water, fill jars with bamboo.
    Pour hot vinegar into jars; seal.
    Boil five minutes in a hot water bath to seal.
