Ingredients

2 lbs. beef stew meat, trimmed
4 medium potatoes, cut into 1 inch chunks
6 medium carrots, cut into 1/2 inch chunks
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups tomato juice
1 cup water
3 Tbsp. quick-cooking tapioca
1 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
