My Best Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. plus 1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sour cream
    1 tsp. soda
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. fruit juice
    1/2 c. molasses
    3 c. seeded raisins
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. currants
    1 c. dates
    6 oz. citron peel
    4 oz. lemon peel
    4 oz. orange peel
    1/2 c. nutmeats (blanched almonds)
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon and mace
    1/2 tsp. cloves and nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix all together and let stand overnight before baking. Bake at 250\u00b0 for

    hours.
