Layered Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 cans sliced new potatoes, drained well
    1 large carton cottage cheese
    1 pt. real mayonnaise
    1 onion, chopped
    8 eggs, boiled and chopped
    1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dressing (dry)
    lemon pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. oil (optional)
Preparation
    Layer 1/2 potatoes in a large bowl.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 onion and 1/2 eggs.
    Drizzle with 1 tablespoon oil if desired.
    Blend cottage cheese and mayonnaise together and spread 1/2 over above layers; sprinkle with 1/2 the dry dressing mix and lemon pepper to taste.
    (Be generous with the lemon pepper.)
    Repeat layers.
    Let set overnight to develop flavors.
