Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
5 medium potatoes, peeled, if desired, and sliced thin
1/4 c. cooked, crumbled bacon (if desired)
Preparation

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter; blend in flour and add milk, all at once.
Stir until thickened.
Add grated cheese, salt and pepper.
Continue to cook and stir until cheese is melted.
Remove from heat and spread 1/2 of the cheese sauce on the bottom of a shallow 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
Place potatoes on top of cheese sauce, sprinkle with onions and bacon. Add remaining sauce over potatoes.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, until potatoes are tender.
