Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    3 tsp. melted shortening
    1 egg
Preparation
    Beat egg until smooth.
    Add milk and shortening.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Pour this in flour.
    Mix to a very smooth dough. Drop by spoonfuls into broth.
    Cover tightly and cook 10 to 14 minutes or until done, depending on size of dumplings.
