Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1/4 lb. oleo
2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
3 to 4 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, buttermilk, soda, oleo and Karo.
Cook over low heat until candy makes hard ball in cold water, about 45 to 55 minutes.
Add pecans and vanilla.
Start beating by hand until it gets thick and loses its sheen.
Drop on wax paper and cool.
