Southwestern Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. boneless round steak, tenderized
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 (10 oz.) can tomatoes and green chilies
1/4 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped carrot
1 Tbsp. chopped onion
1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Cut meat into 3 or 4 portions. Mix flour and salt; dredge meat in flour mixture. Set aside remaining flour. Brown meat in small amount of hot oil, about 3 tablespoons. Place meat in shallow baking dish. Blend reserved flour mixture into drippings in skillet. Add tomatoes and green chilies, celery, carrot and onion. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Pour over meat. Cover and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Sprinkle cheese over meat.
