Tomato Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef cubes
    2 Tbsp. seasoned flour
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup
    1 soup can water
    6 small whole onions
    6 carrots, cut up
    4 potatoes, quartered
    1/4 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    Shake meat with seasoned flour in plastic bag.
    Brown meat in shortening in Dutch oven or stew pot.
    Add soup and water; cover. Simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover.
    Cook 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
    Stir occasionally to thicken.
    Uncover and cook to desired consistency.
    Serves 5.
