Black Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. black beans
    1 1/2 qt. water
    2 whole cloves
    1 bay leaf
    2 cloves garlic
    2 stalks celery
    1 carrot, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    2 c. beef broth
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 to 2 Tbsp. sherry wine
    slice of lemon
Preparation
    Soak the beans overnight; drain.
    Add the water.
    Add the cloves, bay leaf, garlic, celery, carrot and onion.
    Cook slowly for 3 hours.
    Mash beans.
    Add the beef broth.
    Combine the flour and melted butter; add to soup.
    Add the sherry wine to taste. Adjust seasoning.
    Serve with slice of lemon.
