Crescent Chicken Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz. softened cream cheese
    2 Tbsp. margarine, softened
    2 c. cooked chicken*
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 Tbsp. chopped chives or onions
    1 Tbsp. chopped pimento
    1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls
    1 Tbsp. melted margarine
    3/4 c. seasoned crushed croutons
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Blend cream cheese and margarine.
    Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk, chives and pimento.
    Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles; seal perforations.
    Spoon 1/2 cup mixture onto center of each rectangle.
    Pull 4 corners of dough up to center of mixture and seal.
    Brush tops with melted margarine; dip in crushed croutons.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
    Refrigerate leftovers.
