Chicken A La King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. chicken broth
    1 c. light cream
    2 c. chopped cooked chicken
    1/4 c. chopped pimento
Preparation
    Melt butter in a heavy 2-quart saucepan; stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Remove from heat; stir in chicken broth gradually. Add cream.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Add chicken and pimento.
    Heat to serving temperature.
    Serve immediately over toast or in patty shells.
