Southern Fried Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut up
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 egg plus 2 Tbsp. milk or water, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. red pepper
1 1/2 tsp. paprika
1 1/2 c. flour
2 c. Crisco oil
Preparation

Wash chicken; drain on paper towel.
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Dip in egg mixture.
Add spices to flour; coat chicken.
Fry slowly in hot oil until browned on both sides (about 35 minutes), turning as needed.
