Chicken "N" Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1 fryer, cut up
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Grease bottom and sides of large baking dish with butter. Cover bottom of dish with 1 cup uncooked rice.
    Place several dabs of butter on rice.
    Salt and pepper fryer pieces and place on top of rice.
    Spoon 1 can cream of mushroom soup over chicken. Sprinkle onion soup mix on top.
    Add water to almost cover chicken, approximately 2 cups.
    Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake 3 hours at 250\u00b0.
