Ingredients

2 yeast cakes
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. butter
4 c. flour
1 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Add butter and sugar to milk.
Add yeast, eggs, salt and flour; beat well.
Let rise until double in bulk.
Roll out to oblong shape.
Spread with melted butter; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Add raisins, if desired.
Fold in half; cut into strips.
Roll into rolls, twisting as you go.
Let rise until very light.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
