Homemade Picante Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can tomatoes (28 oz.)
    1 large white onion
    3 cloves garlic, smashed
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. cumin
    6 fresh jalapeno peppers, chopped (or to taste)
    juice of 1 lemon
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except for the peppers, and simmer together until onion is nearly done.
    Add peppers and continue simmering until all flavors are blended.
    Store in refrigerator.
