Bootjie Bredie(Green Bean Stew) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. boneless lamb shoulder
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. water
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces (about 4 c.)
2 medium potatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 medium onion, sliced
1 green or red pepper, chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
Preparation

Trim fat from lamb.
Cut lamb into 3/4-inch cubes.
Heat oil in Dutch oven or large, heavy pan until hot.
Cook and stir lamb in oil over medium heat until brown, about 10 minutes.
Add water, garlic and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 40 minutes.
