Italian Cream Cake #2 - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 tsp. soda
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. plain flour
1 small can coconut
2 c. sugar
5 eggs, separated
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
Preparation

Cream Crisco and margarine.
Add sugar and vanilla.
Add egg yolks, one at a time.
Sift flour and soda together; add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
Add nuts and coconut. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into the batter.
Pour into 3 (9-inch) greased pans; bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
