Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Karo syrup (light or dark)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. raw peanuts
    1 1/4 tsp. margarine or butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. rounded baking soda
Preparation
    Stir together syrup and sugar in a deep microwave-safe bowl. Cook 4 minutes on High.
    Stir in nuts.
    Cook 3 3/4 minutes on High.
    Add margarine and vanilla; stir.
    Cook 1 1/2 minutes.
    Add soda.
    Stir until light and foamy.
    Pour on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Do not spread.
    Let cool.
    Break into pieces.
