Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
    5 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add egg yolks.
    Sift flour and soda together; add alternately with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla, coconut and chopped nuts.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
