Granny'S Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 heaping Tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients together, then add shortening. Mix until it's a cornmeal type texture.
Add egg and enough water to make it \"a little wetter than pie crust dough.\" Roll out onto floured board and cut into squares.
Drop into boiling chicken and broth. Add salt and black pepper to taste and thicken broth with more flour.
Dumplings should be ready in 10 to 15 minutes.
