Sour Cream Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    enough shortening for frying
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1 whole egg plus 2 yolks
    1 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Put enough shortening into deep frying kettle to fry doughnuts. Sift flour, add salt, baking powder, soda and nutmeg.
    Beat eggs. Add sugar and beat.
    Add sour cream.
    Add to dry mixture.
    Remove 1/2 of dough to pastry cloth.
    Roll about 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut with doughnut cutter.
    Fry in hot shortening (370\u00b0).
    Drain.
    Roll in powdered sugar or dip in doughnut glaze.
