Oatmeal Caramelitas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. light caramels
    5 Tbsp. light cream or evaporated milk
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1 c. oats
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
    1/2 c. coconut (optional)*
Preparation
    *Note:
    If using coconut, add to crumb mixture before pressing into pan.
