Ingredients

5 c. blackberries, fresh or frozen
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Dash of salt
2 Tbsp. butter
Pastry for 9 inch pie
1 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Place berries in 9 inch square baking dish.
Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt, mixing well.\tSprinkle mixture over berries. Dot with butter.
Roll out pastry to fit dish.
Place pastry over berries.
Brush with milk, and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Makes 6-8 servings.
