Spinach Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (and a little) Hellmann's mayonnaise
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 can chopped water chestnuts
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. thawed spinach, drained well
    1 pkg. Knorr vegetable soup mix
    1 lb. round pumpernickel bread (uncut)
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)
    10 oz. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained well
    1 c. diced water chestnuts
    3 small green onions with tops, chopped fine
    1 pkg. Knorr dry vegetable soup mix
    1 c. mayo
Preparation
    Combine preceding ingredients; chill.
    Serve with chopped vegetables or cut up dark pumpernickel bread.
