Mom'S Dandelion Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck dandelion heads
    1 gal. boiling water
    5 lb. sugar
    1 pkg. yeast
    oranges, lemons or pineapples
Preparation
    Gather 1 peck dandelion heads.
    Do not collect from an area sprayed with pesticides or herbicides.
    Wash to remove bugs. Combine dandelion heads with boiling water in a large container. Let the flower heads steep for 24 hours.
    Strain the juice.
    To the juice, add sugar, yeast and fruit.
    The amount of fruit can vary, depending on the flavor you want.
    Set it in a warm, dark area to ferment.
    Do not stir.
    Keep mixture quiet for about 2 weeks.
    When the mixture reaches the desired potency, siphon off and filter through cheesecloth.
    Refrigerate.
    It's ready!
