Candied Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium sliced apples, peeled
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1/3 c. dark Karo syrup
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. syrup
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Prepare pastry of 2-crust 9-inch pie.
    Fill bottom shell with apples.
    Combine next six ingredients.
    Pour over apples.
    Cover with top crust.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until crust is brown and apples are tender.
    Remove from oven.
