Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. scalded milk with 1 Tbsp. butter
    8 maraschino cherries
    1 (No. 2) can sliced pineapple
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Melt butter and brown sugar in a large fryer.
    Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until thick.
    Add scalded milk with butter.
    Mix thoroughly with egg mixture; pour over butter, sugar and fruit layer in fryer.
    Place over low heat and bake until done, about 35 minutes.
    During the last 5 minutes, tilt cover to aid in drying top of cake.
    Turn upside-down on a large plate.
    Serve plain or with whipped cream.
