Christmas Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. lime jello
    1 small can pineapple, crushed
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. cottage cheese
    juice of 1/2 lemon or 1/2 orange
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 envelope plain gelatin
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped (if desired)
    1 pkg. cherry jello
Preparation
    Prepare lime jello according to package directions but reduce water by 1/2 cup and stir in pineapple.
    Pour into large dish or pan.
    Place in refrigerator until firm.
    Combine cottage cheese, lemon juice and sugar and mash with a fork or with mixer until smooth.
    Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water.
    Blend into cottage cheese.
    Add nuts.
    Spread over lime jello.
    Prepare cherry jello according to package directions.
    Pour over filling. Chill until firm.
