Crock-Pot Mushroom Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef, cubed
    2 lb. fresh mushrooms, diced in processor
    1 3/4 c. barley
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Microwave meat first, or else put in crock-pot and cook until half done.
    Add barley and mushrooms, fill pot to within 1 inch of top with stock or water.
    Cook 3 to 4 hours until barley is done. Season to taste.
