Cherry Christmas Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter, softened (can use margarine)
4 eggs
1 tsp. almond flavoring
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans or walnuts (leave in large chunks)
1 small jar cherries, cut up
1 lb. confectioners sugar
Preparation

Beat butter until softened and light.
Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat after each addition. Stir in almond flavor.
Mix flour and salt together.
Add to butter mixture alternately with milk (about 1/3 each time).
Fold in nuts and cherries.
Bake in greased tube or Bundt pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
