Pinakbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1/2 c. water
    1/3 c. bagoong
    1/2 c. sliced tomatoes
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 slice ginger (1/4 x 1-inch), crushed
    1 pkg. frozen okra (10 oz.)
    1/4 tsp. m.s.g.
    1 big eggplant, sliced 1-inch thick
    1 medium size bitter-melon (fresh or canned), sliced 1-inch thick
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except eggplant, bitter-melon and okra.
    Bring to a boil.
    Lower heat and simmer, covered, until beef is tender.
    Add eggplant, bitter-melon and okra; cook for 15 minutes.
    If using canned bitter-melon, add last 3 minutes of cooking.
