Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. cabbage
    1 qt. green tomatoes
    2 sweet green peppers
    1 sweet red pepper
    4 onions
    1/4 c. salt
    2 hot peppers
    1 1/2 pt. vinegar
    1 c. water
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. dry mustard
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Grind vegetables and salt.
    Let stand for 2 hours, then drain. Boil vinegar and spices 5 minutes.
    Add vegetables and cook slowly 30 to 40 minutes.
    Seal in hot sterile jars.
