Chocolate Apple Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped

Preparation

Cream butter with sugar; beat in eggs, then water.
In separate bowl sift flour, cocoa, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat into creamed ingredients along with vanilla, chocolate morsels and apples.
Turn into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
Cool thoroughly before slicing. May be topped with whipped cream.
