German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 slices bacon
1 small Bermuda onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. flour
2/3 c. white vinegar
1 1/3 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
6 c. sliced, cooked potatoes
Preparation

Boil red potatoes with skins on.
Peel after cooked and set aside.
Fry bacon until crisp.
Drain on paper towel.
Reserve 2 to 3 tablespoons drippings of bacon grease.
Crumble the bacon. Saute onion in bacon grease until tender.
Blend in flour slowly, then stir in vinegar and water.
Cook until mixture boils and becomes thicker.
Add sugar, salt and pepper; simmer 10 minutes.
