Pakistani Chicken Curry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 boned chicken breasts
    3 cloves garlic
    6 Tbsp. butter or vegetable shortening
    1 Tbsp. ground coriander
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    salt to taste
    2 large onions, sliced
    1 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger root
    1 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 pt. yogurt
Preparation
    Saute the onions, garlic and ginger in the shortening until the onion is golden brown.
    Add the pieces of chicken, yogurt, tomato paste and the spices.
    Mix well and fry for about 15 minutes by which time it should become rather dry.
    Sprinkle in about 2 cups of hot water and allow to cook until chicken is tender.
    If necessary, add more water half way through.
    Makes about 6 servings.
