*Mary E.'S Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. milk or light cream
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 Tbsp. Karo syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 rounded Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook the first 5 ingredients to soft ball stage in skillet. Remove from heat; let cool slightly.
    Beat in butter and vanilla. Continue beating until fudge is quite cool and holds its shape. Pour into buttered pan.
    Let harden and then cut into squares.
