Gwen'S Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix shortening in boiling water. Add buttermilk.
Mix soda, salt and sugar with the flour. Add flour gradually into wet ingredients. Place in greased bowl until double in size.
Shape into rolls and place in warm spot to raise again.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until golden brown, 35 to 45 minutes.
