Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. melted butter
    1/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients into a bowl.
    Beat in the egg until it is well mixed.
    Then add the milk and work it with a heavy spoon until smooth.
    Drop by tablespoon into boiling broth or salted water.
    Let boil with lid closed for 10 minutes.
