Walnut Scone Drops With Mock Devonshire Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2/3 to 3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease cookie sheets.
    Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
    In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda; blend well.
    Using fork or pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add buttermilk and walnuts; lightly stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 9 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown.
    Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
    Serve warm.
