Homemade Soap - cooking recipe

Ingredients

8 lb. grease or cracklings
4 cans lye
3 to 4 gal. water

Preparation

Combine all ingredients and cook in a large black kettle until lye eats up grease and cracklings.
Let set in pot overnight or until cold and set.
Next day, cut into pieces.
