Onion-Honey Sandwich - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, sliced
    1 c. distilled water
    1/2 c. honey
    1 c. chopped parsley
    fresh whole-wheat bread
Preparation
    Place the sliced onions in a bowl.
    Slowly bring the water and honey to a boil and pour over the onions.
    For a touch that will appeal to modern tastes, mix a cup of mayonnaise with 1 1/2 teaspoons sharp prepared mustard.
    Spread over the bread and top with the onions.
    Sprinkle the parsley over the onions.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
