Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

25 to 30 medium cucumbers
8 large white onions
2 large bell peppers
1/2 c. salt
5 c. cider vinegar
5 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
4 to 5 trays ice cubes
Preparation

Wash and slice cucumbers about 1/4-inch thick.
Peel and slice onions in thin slices.
Remove seeds from peppers and cut into strips.
Combine with cucumbers and onions.
Cover with ice cubes and let stand 3 hours.
Drain.
