Creamed Spinach - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 lb. fresh spinach
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large saucepan.
    Saute onion in butter until brown.
    Add washed, drained spinach to onion and cook, covered, for 3 to 5 minutes.
    Drain and chop.
    Return spinach to a saucepan.
    While spinach is cooking, work remaining butter and flour together with a fork.
    When spinach is cooked, lower heat and add butter-flour mixture a little at a time until all is smoothly incorporated.
    Add milk and seasonings.
    Reheat.
    Use as a garnish with other vegetables.
    Serves 6.
