Brown Sugar Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
    3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
Preparation
    Put soda into buttermilk.
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each.
    Add flavoring.
    Blend in flour alternating with milk.
    Turn into large greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Let cake cool in pan for a few minutes, but turn out on serving plate while still hot.
